At FHS, every student has access to a dedicated social worker, Gabby Tyler, who specializes in mental health support through individual counseling, small group sessions, and referrals to community and school resources. Social work is also woven into how we handle conflict at FHS: through Restorative Practices, we use Restorative Circles as our structured, caring response to dysregulated behavior, rather than punishment alone.

In a circle, everyone is treated as equal, able to speak and be heard, take accountability, and repair harm. Whether a student is returning from a suspension, working through a conflict with a peer, or just needs to talk, our social work and restorative approach is built around one belief: students can't fully learn until they feel safe, supported, and heard.
